Kingdom Pioneers Workbook - Seniors 1

Kingdom Pioneers Workbook - Seniors 1

Kingdom Pioneers is a Bible-based discipleship and life-skills workbook designed for older teenagers who are ready to engage more deeply with Scripture, develop a mature understanding of faith, and connect biblical truth with the realities of everyday life.

As students move into the Senior level, the focus shifts from simply learning foundational truths to understanding, evaluating, applying and living out those truths with greater maturity and personal responsibility.

The workbook is divided into two complementary sections: MAIN Bible Topics and NOTW – Not Of This World.

MAIN BIBLE TOPICS

The first half explores biblical foundations through the broad themes of Identity, Purpose and Destiny, helping students understand who God is, who they are in Christ, what they are called to do, and the hope they have for the future.

Topics include:

The Bible – God's Word • Divine Time Zone • The Names of God • Jesus: I AM the Good Shepherd • Jesus as Saviour and King • The Gift of the Spirit • In God's Image: Faithful & Fruitful • The Body of Christ • Wholeness & Deliverance • Overcoming Strongholds • Holiness & Righteousness • Fellowship • The Eternal Kingdom • The Parable of the Ten Virgins • Preparing the Earth for Jesus • Good Friday • Resurrection Sunday • Pentecost • Christmas

Each MAIN Bible lesson includes:

  • Main Topic & Sub-topic – A structured exploration of important biblical themes.
  • Verses to Remember – One Old Testament and one New Testament verse that capture the central message.
  • Related Reference Verses – Additional Scripture passages for deeper study and personal reflection.
  • Main Lesson – Biblical teaching organised around Identity, Purpose and Destiny.
  • Key Takeaways – Foundational truths to understand, remember and apply in everyday life.
  • Practical Applications – Specific first steps for turning biblical principles into action.
  • Word of the Week (WOW) – A key word or concept to reflect on throughout the week.
  • Home Devotionals – An activity-based devotional experience incorporating journalling, reflection, questionnaires, doodles and thought-provoking statements.

ITW BUT NOTW!

“Be in the world, but not of the world.”

The second half of the workbook is NOTW – Not Of This World, a section focused on the real-life issues, relationships, choices and responsibilities that older teenagers increasingly encounter.

NOTW encourages students to examine each issue through three perspectives:

World Says – What does the wider culture communicate about the issue?
I-Say – How might a young person personally experience or respond to it?
God Says – What does the Bible teach about it?

The NOTW section explores:

Family, Parents, Mentors & Teachers • Social Pressure • Depression • Gender Confusion • Social Media Etiquette • Career • What You Watch • Goal Setting & Vision Casting • Hospitality • Marketplace Position: Joseph in Egypt • Israel & the Church

Each NOTW lesson includes:

  • NOTW Lesson – A practical exploration of a relevant real-life topic from cultural, personal and biblical perspectives.
  • World Says / I-Say / God Says – A framework for examining cultural messages, personal experiences and biblical truth.
  • Quote of the Day – A meaningful and thought-provoking quote.
  • Verses to Remember – One Old Testament and one New Testament verse connected to the central message.
  • Related Reference Verses – Additional Scripture for further study.
  • Key Takeaways – Foundational truths to understand and carry forward.
  • Practical Applications – Small, realistic steps for putting those truths into practice.
  • NOTW Statement – A memorable, power-packed statement to remember and potentially share.
  • Discussion Questions – Questions designed to encourage mature reflection, conversation and critical thinking.
  • Home Devotional Activity – Journalling, questionnaires, reflection prompts, doodles and other activities to continue the learning throughout the week.

Preparing teenagers for life beyond school

Kingdom Pioneers is designed to help young people connect their faith with the decisions and responsibilities that increasingly shape their lives.

The MAIN Bible section explores deeper questions around God's character, the Holy Spirit, identity, wholeness, spiritual strongholds, holiness, the Body of Christ, spiritual maturity and the Kingdom of God.

The NOTW section brings these foundations into practical areas such as family relationships, social pressure, emotional wellbeing, gender questions, social media, career decisions, goal setting, personal conduct, hospitality and life in the marketplace.

Students are encouraged to move beyond simply receiving information and instead think critically, reflect personally, engage with Scripture, discuss difficult questions and identify practical ways to live out their faith.

The workbook seeks to equip young people not only for life as students, but for the responsibilities and opportunities that come with becoming adults, professionals, leaders, members of families, and contributors to society.

Ideal for:
Church Sunday schools • Teen Bible studies • Youth groups • Christian schools • Homeschooling • Family discipleship • Senior youth ministry • Christian leadership and discipleship programs
